When we were asked to design a curling rink for a financial tombstone recognition piece, the project then turned into a sports award for a client’s bonspiel. We were then asked if we could replicate that and make a hockey rink, so of course we said yes! We have embedded referee’s whistles for referee awards and we have created a custom award for the First Referee game, with the game puck mounted on a base and an ice look Lucite puck beside it engraved with all the game details.

We have also designed a football shape for the Football Reporters of Canada’s Hall of Fame sports award.

NASCAR is another great sporting event and we have designed and manufactured numerous sports trophies for them. My personal favourite is the Coca Cola Award for NASCAR. I love the design, the embedment and the fact that the race winner has to chug a Coca Cola for their charity to win. It is such a great opportunity for the chosen charity, the recognizable brand and it is an exceptionally designed sports award.

The other bonus of creating your own award is that they never go out of style or stock. We had a client looking at some innovative ideas for a community league sports awards because the one they had been using was being discontinued. So, we were asked to design a new award for them. Discontinued awards are something you don’t have to worry about with Clearmount products. That only occurs if you choose to update the design.
