Our handmade process to create and produce custom acrylic awards and recognition products.

Step 1

Mixing and pouring

The process starts with a liquid and a powder. When mixed, the combination allows for complete customization of colours and unique shapes for your customized award. Here at Clearmount, the majority of the awards and recognition pieces we manufacture are poured into straight channels. We also produce our tin moulds for specialized pieces. In this stage, if you have an object or a printed matter we will embed in the acrylic.

Step 2

Cutting and shaping

After coming out of Autoclave oven, as a raw casting, our artisans will cut, shape, sand and polish by hand into the custom sizes and shapes that identify each piece as being uniquely yours. Our artisans take great pride in each step of the process when crafting acrylic and are sure that every customer receives the highest quality handmade custom awards we can produce.

Step 3

Sanding and Buffing

Our team sands your pieces to make them more uniform in size and buff to highlight the clarity of the award. We consider all of our pieces as customized art pieces. We are not mass producing awards and then personalizing them. Due to handmade production from start to finish, there are always slight variations. We have a high level of quality control and make sure that our pieces do not go out that has not been thoroughly inspected and approved.

Step 4

Final Finishes

Such as laser engraving, screening, colour filling, assembling and final finishing are done by hand on-site. Custom transparent or colour tint effects can be applied to all or just a portion of your award. Laser engraving may be colour filled for contract or, left without fill for a white frosted look. You can also combine laser engraved background details and embed colour imprints for depth.
