The Boot Award Case Study

The Boot Award – 1St Annual Stuart Olson Challenge

Challenge:

Stuart Olson (formerly Churchill Corporation), a $1.3 billion organization, is an integrated constructions solutions company and one of the largest and most respected construction companies in Canada. It has been serving the industry since 1911.  The company underwent a major re-brand, wherein seven operating companies were consolidated under the newly formed brand. Stuart Olson wanted to bring all the employees together to create a collaborative environment and generate teamwork for a common goal.

As a part of this re-brand, employees were engaged in a variety of initiatives designed to get them engaged while promoting collaboration throughout the company. Stuart Olson is a company recognized for its unique approach to doing business.  It is a company who understands that a positive journey is the critical factor to achieving successful results.  With more than 4,200 people motivated by the opportunity to make a difference not any trophy would do for this company. This is where the idea for the boot trophy was created to be given out as the grand prize in the 1st Annual Stuart Olson challenge.
