Sometimes financial tombstone ideas come fully formed in the client’s imagination and other times they are as vague as this. The client had just successfully closed a deal with Town Shoes and all their creative direction was that they wanted the tombstone to feature a shoe. It was a prestigious deal that for which they wanted a unique award. As well, they needed it in less than a week. Yikes!

We’re big fans of the “Keep It Simple” motto here, so we stuck to this principle to keep the design clean and eye-catching while still being easy enough to fit their deadline. We created a plexi cut out of a bold red women’s shoe with the text and logo embedded inside on one colour acetate. The design was customized further from the standard block by cutting the bottom to the curve of the heel. The effect was amazing. The red shoe was the focal point, not only from its bold colour, but from the multi-dimensional pop of the embedded plexi. It gave the piece an interesting dimension that was exactly what the client wanted to impress all those that were involved with the deal.

The feedback that we received from the client was “The awards were a huge hit. All recipients were blown away by the creative and overall presentation. Thank you for not only creating a great design but actually getting the order done so quickly. You know I will always go to you for any award requests I get.”
