And the Award...... keeps on Going....and Going.....and Going!!

It's not unusual to receive a phone call from a client to ask if we could repair an award we have created for them in the past. Our customer called to say they were sending over two Diamond Award plaques and were wondering if we could fix them. What they neglected to tell us was that they looked as if they had been dropped from the CN tower, run over by a truck and then dragged across a gravel driveway. And, oh by the way, they are 30. Yes you heard me....30 years old.

Now cast Lucite is very durable, we have been telling this to anyone who would listen for years, but even this made us raise our eyebrows a bit.

The question remained could we fix them? And we said of course! We have tremendous faith in our skilled craftsmen. All we had to do was sand, buff and re-polish each plaque until they looked brand new! The change, we all agreed, made for the best Before and After pictures.

The client couldn't have been anymore surprised or delighted! Another satisfied Clearmount customer.

The $3.5 million dollar question

How much security do you need to mount a coin worth $3.5 million?

That was the challenge put to us last spring. Clearmount was commissioned by an art collector to design a base for the world's largest, most valuable gold coin. The task would have been a simple one, except the coin presented a number of special challenges:

1) it needed to be seen from all angles
2) it measured 21 inches in diameter, over an inch thick and weighed 220 pounds and oh, one more thing....
3) it was 99.999% pure gold.

What do you give the client or employee who needs to deal with different time zones? Why not consider our cube on a corner.
