Awards Ideas for the Oil & Gas Industry
I was recently at a major hospital fundraising luncheon where one of the women at my table was a physician; she was amazed by my descriptions of the corporate awards we manufactured. I was equally amazed at the wonders she does every day in her profession, and it reminded me how exciting and unique what we do seems to others. It is then that I remember why I love doing what we do at Clearmount.
As you can envision, we design and create unusual and some would say bizarre pieces for a multitude of industries, but one of the most interesting is the oil and gas industry. There are so many ways to design oil and gas awards in acrylic with unexpected variations and customized twists. My favourite oil and gas awards piece was one that Katie designed using a pewter casting of an oil rig with a derrick and a vial filled with the customers oil embedded all in the same piece. As an oil and gas award, it was truly inspired.
Oil and gas is a powerful industry which feeds so much of the world’s economy. It’s hardly surprising that it’s a big market for corporate recognition awards, tombstones/deal toys, and other employee recognition pieces. It is also an industry which regularly acknowledges a whole host of additional achievements:
the completion of projects or deals,
health and safety milestones,
corporate responsibility successes, and
environmental stewardship.
Although many of these corporate and employee recognitions can be simple or classic pieces, many of our clients have taken the opportunity to create something unique and customized to their brand and/or industry specifically.
Oil and Gas Awards with Unique Shapes and Embedment
Our most popular oil and gas awards customization is the inclusion of a glass vial teardrop of the company’s drilled oil, embedded in the piece they’ve created. We have the glass blown especially to contain the oil sent to us, and then we can embed it in a variety of award types or shapes: Lucite oil barrels, traditional Lucite columns, even small Lucite paperweights have been used to show a companies oil product to its best advantage.
These small and elegant looking “drops” of oil are impressive enough that we’ve had companies drill into their pieces to make sure it was indeed their oil. Since David himself is an engineer, we take great pride in being able to impress engineers with our construction and technique!
Another great idea for an oil and gas awards shape is the the shape of the province, country or continent the oil or gas is being drawn from. The list is endless on how inventive our team has become in designing corporate recognition awards for this industry.
